Located on Lake Huron, the Comfort Inn Lakeside is one of Mackinaw City's finest. Excellent for swimming and sunbathing, our private sandy beach features a large sundeck and beach furniture. Enjoy the cool, sparkling water and the most fantastic views of Mackinac Island, the Island ferryboats, and the many beautiful and interesting sights and sounds of the famous Straits of Mackinac.

An elegant blend of colonial and traditional themes creates a comforting, relaxing atmosphere at the Comfort Inn Lakeside. All of our guest rooms offer two queen or one king-sized bed. Many of the rooms offer private balconies overlooking the lake, and in-room whirlpools are also available. A deluxe continental breakfast is served each morning on the lakefront. Refrigerators, telephones, PC hook-up and remote control cable 27 inch televisions are standard in all our accommodations. For our guests' enjoyment, we also have an indoor swimming pool and the largest indoor whirlpool in Mackinaw City.

We actually didn't get to stay at this hotel. On the Wed. before we were suppose to arrive our master card was comprimised and they cancelled it for our protection. They issued a new one but we did not get it before we left on vacation. I had put the room on the old card and when they went to check it the day of our arrival it came up that is had been cancelled. I didn't even think about this when the card was cancelled. The hotel tried to call us but we were already on the road. BUT...what they did was outstanding!!! They found a room for us at a hotel down the road, Bridge Vista, and we went there. They have an indoor water park and we had our grandsons, 9 and 6 years old. I feel they went above and beyond and they need a HUGE pat on the back from the Shively's. We will stay at either place the next time we come up. Thanks for letting me tell you this. Kathy Shively

It would have been outstanding but for the location of the elevator. We should have asked for handicaped &/or stayed on the first floor. The location is great. The beach is wonderfull. Room was fine. Breakfast was very good.

Especially liked the breakfast buffet which had eggs and sausage and yogurt. Some hotels only offer cereal, toast and donuts which won't work for a couple like us - one with diabetes and one who is gluten free.

The front desk was very accomodating when they switched our reservation so we could have the two reserved rooms to be next to each other. They also allowed for a later checkout time (although we didn't need it) and it was appreciated. Housekeeping was also excellent. They responded immediately to our needs (extra towels, etc.) and our rooms were cleaned perfectly in spite of the mess we made (thank you Jackie!). We will definitely be back...

Everything about hotel was great. But after a nine hour ride on a motorcycle, we had to stand in the hall for 15 minutes and wait for our room to finish being cleaned. If we can check in at 4:00, our room ought to be ready by then. Every staff member we were in contact with was very friendly! Would be REALLY nice if you could walk right onto the beach from the tiny balcony (if you're on the ground floor of course).

While our stay was short in your beautiful community, the folks at the Comfort Inn Lakeside made the stay very comfortable. Compliments go to the breakfast food staff. Excellent. The package deal that we got for the boat to the island and the carriage tour worked out perfect. It was nice to be able to get a package and pay one price to one location. Cudos also to the motel for shipping our pillows back to us in a very timely fashion. We will be back.

I got upgraded to a lakeside room for a minimal amount. The view was amazing and so was the service. My kids loved that we were able to go to the 2 indoor waterparks. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family and we look forward to staying there again.

The hotel and balcony were clean, the staff was helpful and the rate was perfect. We had a great stay and recommend any family with young children to stay there for the added free waterpark feature across the street. We will definitely stay there again.

The room was clean and had a great view. When we tried to eat at the continental breakfast their weren't any tables to eat at. It looked like they hadn't been wiped down in awhile either.The guest counter was very helpful and friendly.

Being in Mackinaw was a wonderful experience. And having a good, clean hotel to come home to was great! We were within walking distance to anything we wanted to do. The people at the hotel were very nice! We got in the hot tub every night. The last night, it was not very hot but if that is the only thing I can complain about, I would say the Comfort Inn was GREAT! Thank you Mackinaw!

We were given an upgraded room on the water with a balcony for $5. That was a fun treat since I was traveling with my mother and she so enjoyed the view. We felt very blessed to be there. The breakfast was great and the breakfast hostess was friendly and helpful. We once again had a great time in your city.

I stayed there during the Big Mac Shoreline tour this Spring. I had my grandson and granddaughter eith me. We enjoyed our stay and the office and room staff treated us very well. We will stay there again. If I had to offer a criticism, I would say that the rain on Saturday morning made the breakfast very crouded as no one could sit outside.

We enjoyed our stay in your hotel tremendously! We requested a ground floor room and, not only did we get that, but it was right next to the pool entrance as well as the lobby. The air conditioner didn't work our first night there, so we left a note for the maid, explaining that fact. When we came back to our room later that night, there was a whole new air conditioning unit in our room, cooling things off nicely! The continental breakfast on the beach front was a nice touch! We will definitely be thating there next year!

We had a very nice room on the ground floor over the Memorial weekend. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Not very sound proof though. We had kids jumping and running in the room above us and at night I could hear snoring from one of the adjoining rooms. The receptionsts were very helpful and the continental breakfast was a bonus, lots of variety. Loved the location and the sandy beaches. We would definately come visit again.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean. I liked the location of the hotel - on the lakeshore and within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, and the ferries. The room for the continental breakfast was too small for the number of people I encountered, and I was not impressed with the breakfast food offered.

We were originally assigned to a room on the second floor. I asked about elevators and was given directions on taking the elevator up. Before we turned to leave to go to our room from the registration area, The manager very kindly gave us a first floor room. I had explained that I had a bad knee and was having trouble walking let unlone going up and down stairs. I feel the accomadations were great and so were the people at the desk. I would stay there again. The food was great also. Thanks

Desk reception was cheerful and efficient. Room was clean and had one of the quiter HVAC units I've experienced. Lots of hot water in the morning for showers. Breakfast was next door in the Hamilton was good if lacking a bit in variety. Ferry tickets were at the desk upon check in (I booked them with the room). Very convenient to the ferry docks and town for shopping and dining. I'll stay here again next time.

The staff at this hotel stand out to me as very friendly and happy people! I was impressed at the room decor and the lake side view was wonderful. Our friends who stayed down the street visited our room told us they paid more than we did and would have preferred staying at the Comfort Inn Lakeside. The breakfast galley has slightly smaller seating inside than I am used to... BUT you had the option of enjoying the seating outside on their inviting patio as well.

After a brief snafu where we tried to get into the wrong room because the Comfort Inn adjoins another hotel, we got the lowdown from the owner on how to get a free hot breakfast the next morning. That was great. The room was adequate, beds comfy.

the room we had was clean and comfortable; I was pleasantly surprised by a room facing the water with beach and a small patio. The people at the desk were friendly and efficient; we very much enjoyed our stay and would return.

This is my second stay at this hotel. Both times the rooms were very clean and did not have a musty smell. The breakfast area, while small, was clean and there was just enough variety for a nice breakfast. The staff at the front desk, both checking in and checking out were very friendly (without being overly-so). I sent my daughter in to get a brochure for Whitefish Point and there were none. One of the staff actually came out to my car to tell me where he had seen some a couple of days prior. To me, in this day and age, is exceptional. Not many people in the service business really "know" how to service the customer. Usually it is "no, we don't have any" and leave it at that. I would (and have) recommended this hotel and plan to stay again upon my return. My only complaint is that the matress was a little saggy in the middle. Nothing huge, I'm just used to a firmer matress.

It's not fancy but it has always been clean, and the people have always been friendly. The women who cooks the breakfast is always friendly and makes you feel at home, enjoy her personality. Been staying here every year for the last three and have not been disapointed.

It was very nice, beautiful view. The room was nice, people were friendly- especially the lady in the breakfast room. We had a nice vacation. The hot tub didn't feel particularly hot. Again all in all it was a good vacation.

The view was GREAT. The staff was very good and helpful. Housekeeping did a very good job. The breakfast was nice to have before heading out for the day. Pool and whirlpool were clean and well kept. The only thing that wasn't good was the ice machine on our floor did not work very well, but it was 85 degrees. We just went to another machine. We will stay here again and let our friends and family know. Thank you for helping us to have a great vacation!!

The room was clean and surprisingly Quiet for as many people that were there. I have stayed in many Hotels in Mackinaw and i would recommend this place to anybody. The veiw of Lake Huron was excellent and close to all stores and Restaurants. Boat docks to the Island are well within walking distance.
