We did not stay at the Hamilton Inn as they were booked up.The folks at the front desk was very nice and offered to find us a room at the Best Western Dockside, which they did. The Best Western was nice and the people very friendly.We would give them a rating of "GOOD".

The room was nice and clean. The morning breadfast was very good. For a great price it would be hard to beat. Sorry we couldn't stay longer. The housecleaning personal was very nice and did a great job on keeping the room clean.

The room was clean and nice and the beachfront view was spectacular. The breakfast was good. Great location. Walking distance to ferry and several restaurants. Some of the front desk staff were not friendly. The only working ice machine was on the third floor. But for the most part it was a nice place.

The check-in was quick and easy. the rms. were great. We had 7 women to please and there wasn't one negative remark from anyone. The weather was great. We sat out by the beach for a few hours and had some margaritas before dinner. Hope to do it again. One complaint but not the hotel. Not one of us bought fudge this year. Why? "Buy 3 for $23.95 and get 2 free." Give me a break! They are out-pricing themselves. Don't tell me that the family who bought up half of the stores in town own the fudge shops too?

The Hamilton moved our reservation to a nearby Inn as they had overbooked. The accommodations were comparable to the room we had reserved at the Hamilton Inn so we were not upset. The room rate was the same for us, and, actually, it was a larger room than we had orignally reserved at the Hamilton. We would not hesitate to reserve rooms at the Hamnilton as were were treated well.

The thing that made the ultimate difference between good and outstanding was the staff. They were extremely friendly, helpful and concerned for my well being. There were little problems such as the ice machine on my floor was down and there was not always coffee in the breakfast area but these paled next to my overall impressions of the staff which definitely made my stay worthwhile and enjoyable.

We enjoyed our stay. The beds were very comfortable. We thought the breakfast buffet was not that good. They advertise as a 25ft. buffet. It might have been 25ft.long, but there were some very poor choices. We gave the hotel a good rating.

clean, friendy and all expectations met. Breakfast is an added plus. only suggestion is to inform your guests that the suite offered with the access door in the dining room will be a very noisy room in the morning, and not very private opening the door into a room full of people. we were given the room and asked to be moved that same day.

very clean. lake view balcony was great. Hotel staff was great when we had to move one night of reservation due to a family emergency. breakfast room was large and clean everything was good except the gravy was just nasty. the kids loved the access to the pirates indoor water park. great access to starline ferry also

The staff was very helpful & accomodating. The room was nice, pool area was nice and the breakfast was the normal 25' breakfast bar that all of the hotels in the area offer. Waffles were excellent. I will definitely stay here again in the future and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. It would be nice if there was an elevator at each end of the building, as we were on the 3rd floor, but at the complete opposite end of the elevator. Very nice hotel!

Clean, quiet rooms. Great that it shares a parking lot with Star Lines so we didn't have to move the car. Walking distance to several good restaurants. Great free breakfast buffet. Nice pool. We didn't like the new memory foam matresses though. Otherwise, our stay was pleasant.

Very accomodating when we arrived one day early. Gave us beachfront room for a few $ more. Breakfast was good and room big. View was great and so-o-o close to beach. Cleaning folks did a great job every day. Front desk helped with tickets, info, etc. and were so friendly! Pool was nice, hot tub HOT. Great location to stores, restaurants, and fairies. Made us feel at home and so relaxed. Will recommend to everyone!!

it started the evening one of the gals called saying my credit card did not work. i had typed two 2 instead of two 5 so i was good to go after that. the day we got there she was there and remembered calling and talking to me. we were the only ones that had a motorcycle to they let us park in a great spot. everyone was very nice right down to the cleaning ladies. the morning we left it was raining and they gave us a good size garbage bag to put over our luggage we had on the back of the bike. i picked this hotel because it was right next to the dock but next time i will pick it because of the great service we had there. thank all the gals that work there they were great.

We were there for one night and then went to the island. We had a very restful evening, good breakfast food, great view in the morning and convenient to the boats to the island. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

The staff was very helpful, especially seeing to our needs for a ride to the ferry. For a resort town we thought that the room was well kept,the breakfast buffet was more than we expected.

We were very pleased with or rooms which were clean and large. Wde had requested lakefront rooms next to each other. At first they were not able to accommodate us as we arrived at 5 PM. We did have confirmation. Then they upgraded us to meet the request made at the time of booking. The balcony was nice with view overlooking the lake. Being next to the ferry was a plus. The breakfast was good. We would recommend.

I would love to say it was outstanding but I would rather say excellent witch I believe is somewhere in the middle. The breakfast was very nice and all the staff were outstanding. We upgraded to a newly remodeled room and it was excellent except for a few things. The table in the room wobbled. The top was loose. The luggage rack was unuseable I tried to put my suitcase on it and it wanted to collapse sideways. Two bedside tables would have been nice, we had to bring in the little plastic one from the balcony. A dimmer on the bathroom light would have been nice. I brought a nightlight along and was glad I did. It's not very relaxing sitting in a hottub with a bright light on. These are small things but for the money they should not have been an issue. So overall it was somewhere between outstanding and good. Thank you Colleen Witterholt

The Hamilton Inn was a great place to stay. We enjoyed the breakfast and the accommodations were very clean and roomy. The pool and hot tub were one of the nicest in the places we have stayed in Michigan. Very close to ferry and shopping. The price was very good. The only complaint I have would be the attitude of the front desk clerk when we checked in. Because we were a little early, she tried to give us another "cleaned" room of equal quality, but at a $10. increase in price and was very upset when we didn't take it. We waited the extra hour to have our orginal reserved room. Overall a good trip. I would like to go back there in the summer to enjoy the beach. Mackinaw City itself is very nice as well.

The staff was excellent. We played cards in the evening and were able to use their breakfast room for as long as we wanted. Our rooms were very clean. When extra towels were requested, they were immediately brought to us. The restaurant they suggested turned out to be a great family owned Italian restaurant. We had a great time in Mackinaw City. Rooms were clean and large with a great view of the lake. We had a very good location for seniors. Rooms were on the main floor and close to doors for loading and unloading. Staff was very helpful when we asked about delivery service for pizza and recommended transport to island.
