Overall, the hotel staff was GREAT. The initial room I was in was surrounded by hockey teams and families and was loud and without question the front desk staff worked to move me to a much quieter area and to a much nicer room overall. The room we were placed in, with an in-room jacuzzi, was very nice and quiet....but when we went to use the jacuzzi, the jets obviously hadn't been used in a while and were dirt filled. BUT given that this wasn't the original room we signed up for and the staff graciously moved us to it to be accommodating, it wasn't that big of a deal overall. The breakfast staff was also very nice and very on top of keeping thing filled and warm. Overall, we were very happy with our stay. :)

We appreciated the friendlyness of the staff. The rooms are very comfortable especially the beds. The breakfast area was good for our family's get-together and the breakfast in the morning was very good and the attendent was very pleasant and helpful. Our grandchildren has lots of fun in the pool. The rates of course are great and we look forward to next year.

Our room was beautiful! We had a Jacuzzi room with a King and a Queen Size bed and they were very comfy and warm. The breakfast the next morning was very good, not just juice and store bought muffins or donuts but eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy â�� a real breakfast! We were very well taken care of and enjoyed our stay. Weâ��ll come back and stay again. The staff was very accommodating, pleasant and enjoyable as well. They were very much service oriented and you could tell their aim was to please, which was rather refreshing. They seemed to enjoy their work, which made the whole experience a very positive one.

The beds were the most comfortable we have slept in. Better than at home. Good location to walk into the city for shopping and dinner. Very convenient to ferry to the Island.

The room was very comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. My only comment - I booked the prior day from the chamber of commerce site. When I arrived they initially couldn't locate my reservation. In busier times that could have been a problem.

room was clean, beds very comfortable. Hot breakfast was good, had scrambled eggs(fair), potatoes, sausage(good), buiscuits and gravy(good), and waffles(very good). Had mixed fruit but no apples or bananas, minimal pastries and bread, no yogurt. Front desk staff were polite but not helpful when asked questions. Cleaning staff very polite and nice. Overall a nice hotel that I would stay at again but not outstanding.

Our room was very clean and quite spacious. Check in was fast and they cheerfully accomodated our request for an additional nights stay. The breakfast buffet serves the standard powdered scrambled eggs and wafer thin sausage patties, along with juice, coffee, bagels, etc. certainly nothing to set it apart from the usual fare but plentiful, free, and enough to get you started on your day. Overall, a nice and clean place to stay and very convenient.

Our suite was very clean and the beds were some of the most comfortable I have ever slept on at a hotel. There were five of us women in our two room suite and every one of the women commented on just how comfortable the beds were. We all enjoyed breakfast also. Thanks for an enjoyable stay!

We have stayed in Mackinaw many times but the Hamilton can't be beat for convenience to everything in town. The rooms were very clean the bathroom was very clean. We didn't eat the breakfast. I would definitely come back there next year. Mary Russ

Last year we stayed at the same hotel and I wrote a letter to both the hotel and on Travel Advisor about the horrible way we were treated and we always felt we were being chased out of our room by cleaning staff. What a surprise this year to be treated great and the hotel and staff could not have been nicer. There was quite a change in a year. I plan on continuing to come back every year. (This is our 5th year coming)

The stay was good and the hotel was clean. My family loved the beach and the pool (pirates cove)and we would love to come back soon. The only thing I wish they had was a bar or restaurant in the hotel so I could have a beer and watch a game at night without having to leave the hotel. Your hotel will be on the top of our list when we book our next trip to Mackinaw.

The room was clean which is the most important thing for us. The suite was perfect for us 4 sisters each wanting our own bed. No other hotel had a room like that. We come every year in the fall and will probably stay there again. The price was good too.

We did not stay at the Hamilton Inn as they were booked up.The folks at the front desk was very nice and offered to find us a room at the Best Western Dockside, which they did. The Best Western was nice and the people very friendly.We would give them a rating of "GOOD".

The room was nice and clean. The morning breadfast was very good. For a great price it would be hard to beat. Sorry we couldn't stay longer. The housecleaning personal was very nice and did a great job on keeping the room clean.

The room was clean and nice and the beachfront view was spectacular. The breakfast was good. Great location. Walking distance to ferry and several restaurants. Some of the front desk staff were not friendly. The only working ice machine was on the third floor. But for the most part it was a nice place.

The check-in was quick and easy. the rms. were great. We had 7 women to please and there wasn't one negative remark from anyone. The weather was great. We sat out by the beach for a few hours and had some margaritas before dinner. Hope to do it again. One complaint but not the hotel. Not one of us bought fudge this year. Why? "Buy 3 for $23.95 and get 2 free." Give me a break! They are out-pricing themselves. Don't tell me that the family who bought up half of the stores in town own the fudge shops too?

The Hamilton moved our reservation to a nearby Inn as they had overbooked. The accommodations were comparable to the room we had reserved at the Hamilton Inn so we were not upset. The room rate was the same for us, and, actually, it was a larger room than we had orignally reserved at the Hamilton. We would not hesitate to reserve rooms at the Hamnilton as were were treated well.

The thing that made the ultimate difference between good and outstanding was the staff. They were extremely friendly, helpful and concerned for my well being. There were little problems such as the ice machine on my floor was down and there was not always coffee in the breakfast area but these paled next to my overall impressions of the staff which definitely made my stay worthwhile and enjoyable.

We enjoyed our stay. The beds were very comfortable. We thought the breakfast buffet was not that good. They advertise as a 25ft. buffet. It might have been 25ft.long, but there were some very poor choices. We gave the hotel a good rating.

clean, friendy and all expectations met. Breakfast is an added plus. only suggestion is to inform your guests that the suite offered with the access door in the dining room will be a very noisy room in the morning, and not very private opening the door into a room full of people. we were given the room and asked to be moved that same day.

The staff was very helpful & accomodating. The room was nice, pool area was nice and the breakfast was the normal 25' breakfast bar that all of the hotels in the area offer. Waffles were excellent. I will definitely stay here again in the future and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. It would be nice if there was an elevator at each end of the building, as we were on the 3rd floor, but at the complete opposite end of the elevator. Very nice hotel!
