Wish you would have had more than 1 elevator for the entire place. The overall stay was Very good as far as the room except for there was no cleaning under the tv area. The office staff was attentive and helpful. No microwave, even tho listed as amenity online. The blueish lightbulbs were less than desirable. We were out of the room from 9:45 to 4pm, and room had not been cleaned yet.it was explained that it was a very busy day. I went to the office and asked for towels. The apologetic and very nice maid came and did a quick clean up of the bathroom. Apparently it was expected that we would be out of the room longer. We appreciated the fewer crowds and the lower prices, though would have preferred if more restaurants were open. The Best Western Plus Dockside Waterfront has a great location! Once we arrived, we were able to park the car and walk to all destinations. The breakfast bar is second to none! The only thing that needs some major upkeep is the beachfront. We loved it here at the Dockside. Quick check-in, front desk was helpful by providing discount coupons and bottled water. The included breakfast was FABULOUS! Plentiful hot and cold items like pancakes, bacon, eggs, lots of toast options, oatmeal (with toppings), juices, yogurt, cereal, etc. Definitely something for everyone to enjoy! Great location too! We walked to downtown to shop AND we walked (with our rolling luggage) to Shelpler's Ferry as well. They let you keep your car in their parking lot, which was nice because overnight parking is expensive at the Ferry ports. The breakfast food was standard fair but was better prepared than most. The beach was great. It was clean and well maintained, although the beach chairs were a bit worn. There even was a fire pit for beachside fires after dark. The pool was the perfect temperature. We had a lake front view room that was wonderful. We loved sleeping with the door open to hear the lake.
