The hotel even allowed us to come back and spend the day on the beach and at the waterpark after we had checked out. They didn't, however, honor my room reservation online. I had booked a lakefront view but they stated they didn't have one when we arrived. In the end it didn't matter as we were at the waterpark from the time we arrived until it closed at 10pm and we checked out early to catch the ferry to Mackinac Island. Room was clean, kids loved the water park, and there was lots of food to pick from at breakfast which was being filled constantly. Very family oriented facility and kids loved the log cabin theme. The only downside was that there were only two bath towels for four people so just had to ask for more. No big deal. The room was clean and spacious, and bathroom was well stocked. Our room was on the top floor lake view, there was no balcony and there was bird poo dripping down the window and screen. Not a lot, but a small price to pay for a wonderful view of Mighty Mac. Being a family of six I had to ask for extra towels and she only gave me three, but we made it work. The front desk staff needed help, there was always a line there so they seemed understaffed. The lobby itself had a great presentation however smelled terrible. The rooms were clean and neat although our hair dryer was a fire hazard. The girls wanted to return to this hotel this year partly because of the pool but also for the clean beach. We like being able to look at the Bridge or the Island from the balcony of our room. I like that we can include tickets to attractions into the hotel package. We also like that their are other pools and discounts to area restaurants. Didn't like the fact of having to go to the front desk every day to get your wristband. Sometimes, had to wait several minutes with anxious kids to get them. By third day, we quit going to desk and just went to waterpark. No one ever stopped us so why even have the wristband rquirement?? Hotel was full but very quiet at night. The water park was not huge but our four kids aged 4-12 all enjoyed it. I'd suggest lowering the monkey bar rope over the pool if possible so the kids can reach it easier. The room was comfortable and the customer service was friendly. Next time I'd bring my own beach towels for the beach (the pool had towels) since we ran out of bath towels a couple times. My only complaint, we stayed 3 nights and although the breakfast was good, they did not serve eggs which was in the description of the breakfast, they stated it was do to a shortage?? I think it was probably the higher cost of eggs. The grandkids loved the little water park, but spent most of the time on the beach.
