Cabins Of MackinacCabins of Mackinac Laura from Sebewaing stayed in September 2018Absolutely loved the cabin that we were placed in with the exception of the bed. It said it was a queen but it was a short queen with one side against the wall and the foot of the bed against the other wall. There was no room for the person against the wall to walk around. He had to climb over me to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Just wished the bedroom and bed would have been normal sized. It was a lovely location and beautiful room and the staff was very nice. Will book again, just larger bedroom area. Thank you!These comments are from a verified stay

The cabin was beautiful. I liked that there was a front porch to sit on with table n chairs. The hide a bed in the sofa was not the best to sleep on. But then I haven't found a good one yet. I was disappointed that the wi-fi did not work at all while being there. I asked multiple times if it had been fixed and was always told "it should be." We had the bad luck that we had ants in our bathroom, hope they will get it fixed. The hotel for breakfast was literally 20 seconds away and we were close to the dock so super helpful. Only thing we had an issue with was the wifi never worked. Also, I got a random call at like 10 pm asking if this was me and that's it. Got no explanation which was odd. Martin that ran the front office greeted us by name our whole stay. It was also nice to see him around talking to guest making sure they enjoyed there stay. Cabins Of MackinacCabins of Mackinac Monica from Fort Wayne stayed in October 2017Day at island great and star ferry great. Loved out room at hotel. However even with repeat called to the front desk, I was never able to get connect d to their WiFi. I even told them I needed it for work. The indoor water park was not that. It was an indoor pool with a kiddie play area. The play area was run down with many features not working. The pool water was cloudy to the point of barely being able to see the bottom. The hot tub was so cloudy I couldn’t see even the top step when getting in. The ventilation system was very poor. Only downside was the size of one of the two bedrooms in the two bedroom chalet. The door did not open fully due to the queensized bed. It was a bit inconvenient to climb over the bed or continue to close the door to get around the bed. Made sure everything was okay. The guy who checked us in was nice. Took a ferry to the Island. Came back. Checked in. Went to the cabin and walked into paradise. It was beautiful. Cabins Of MackinacCabins of Mackinac Judith from Cedar Hill stayed in September 2017The chalet was charmingly rustic and large enough for 2-4 people; we had 2 people plus 2 dogs, 80 lb each, and plenty of room.There were plenty of towels: I would have liked a microwave. The place was clean. Breakfast across the street was plentiful and delicious. Ferry tickets were cheaper to buy at the desk than at the ferry itself. Negatives: the fridge had been disconnected and water was running out of it. The phone was dead. As we walked our dogs, we saw a non-functioning ice machine sitting in front of one of the units and a rusted-out statue of a bear lying in the grass. The outside of the chalets and cabins were just short of shabby. Overall, for the price, and compared to actual hotels on the Mackinaw waterfront, it was a good deal. No basic instruction or orientation at check in. Had to walk to another hotel to get breakfast and go to beach 😟 Big mix up with bill,(overcharged) finally resolved 2 days after we finally got home. Pre ordered Mackinopoly game ( didn't have it in stock but we did finally get it before we left), sunset cruise on Ugly Anne (which was wonderful from beginning til the end! Very friendly staff !!!), and sunset bridge trolley tour (which they cancelled). And, when our wall heater unexpectedly malfunctioned and had a brief period of sparks and flames shooting out of it, the manager completely refunded our room fee. A discount would have been enough, but he would not hear of charging us. Cabins Of MackinacCabins of Mackinac Valerie from Indianapolis stayed in August 2017I liked the bathroom décor, very up-to-date. I also liked the other room. It was very clean, the carpet was nice. The bed felt hard when I sat on it for the first time but I was very comfortable when I laid down. It was a nice surprise. The maid was there when I returned to my room. At first we did not speak but as soon as I asked her a question she was very helpful and friendly. The only thing I was not too happy with was when we called the front desk because we needed an iron. We had to go to the front desk to get it, instead of someone bringing it to us. This was in the morning. We had not seen the maid at this point. I have been to Mackinaw at least three other times.
