Our family had lots of fun and enjoyed the time we spent there. We enjoyed staying in the cabins the only complaint we had was no screens on the door. The kids running in and out leaving the door open allowed the bugs to get in. we would stay there again.These comments are from a verified stay

I would have preferred a larger room but the room we had was adequate. The only criticism I would have is that the bed was not made well.The sheet was small and turned sidewise so was very short. We had to remake the bed in order to be comfortable. The chalet needs updated on the outside. we had alittle issue with our bathroom and with our heater. Other than that the trip was wonderful. You definately need to take the sunset cruise on the Ugly Annie. Capt. Chris and co-capt. was the best people to be around. We got such great photos. We will for sure be back, but this time with our kids. Learning the history of the island from Capt. Chris was Great!!! He knows so much about this place i hope he stays around for ever. Everyone on the Main Island and on the Island was so nice!! You have to eat at Darrows and the Pancake Chief Restaurant ( both to die for ). It was so nice that i leaned over to my wife and said "we need to live up here". Did you find this helpful?|The loft style cabin was so much fun to stay in, you did not have to worry about people being above or on either side of you like in hotels. They were within walking distance of downtown and the ferry to the island. The amenities were great, being able to go to all the waterparks at the other hotels around, kids really liked that. Cabins Of MackinacCabins of Mackinaw Sherry from Bullhead City stayed in April 2013They actually called me after I booked this reservation and told me this cabin will still be closed for the season. I postponed it to the following week. When we got there, they told us it is still closed & they moved us to the Hamilton Inn. I wish they would have called me a 2nd time to let me know. We were expecting a 2 bedroom cabin, and ended up with a normal hotel room with 2 beds. We have 2 adults & 2 children. The positives were: ended up with a beach front room, included a great breakfast every morning that was on the same floor (kids loved going to it in their pj's), and it included the waterpark, which was amazing!! We enjoyed having our own private cabin and not having to hear noise from another room/hallway like you do in traditional hotels. A couple of drawbacks: The coffee provided in the room was not good (it made a very weak pot).
