We stayed in the newest built section. The people at the front desk were fantastic. The balcony over looking the lake was perfect. The only part that they could change on is the breakfast. The pool was great and the overall location was very convenient for the ferry. We were surprised that the much touted 25 ft breakfast bar included the areas that had the coffee, tea, plates, and toaster. It was 25 ft of actual food choices. However, for free it was adequate. We received a personal phone call confirming our reservation. Upon arrival, we were greated by everyone at the reception desk and given an upgrade, which we enjoyed fully. The location can't be beat. Paying extra for the balcony view of the beach and Lake Huron was worth it. When we thought we left something behind in the room the staff was very accomodating. The room was beautifullly decorated, and very comfortable beds and the bathroom was also beautiful with a TV in it! This hotel is right next to Star Lines so we were able to just walk to the boat and leave our car in the hotel parking lot. The breakfast room is huge and very clean and good breakfast!
