The Super 8 Bridgeview is the only log cabin hotel in Mackinaw City. The Super 8 Bridgeview is conveniently located directly across from 1000 feet of Lake Huron Beach at the base of the Mackinac Bridge. Colonial Fort Michilimackinac and the Mackinac Lighthouse are within 500 feet of the hotel. Walk to the downtown area, enjoy a drink at the historical Dixie Saloon, and enjoy the free nightly laser light show. Shopping and Mackinac Island ferries are within walking distance. We did not use the pool because there were more kid-appealing choices at other hotels that we were offered with our stay. (Nice touch!) The desk clerk, Carlene, couldn't have been more personable. She always had a smile on her face and was always willing to find out info for us. We loved seeing the dogs in and around the hotel. The furniture and building was beautiful, very cozy and rustic feeling. The location was perfect and close to the water and the town. The convenience of the continental breakfast was perfect. We really enjoyed our vacation. We will stay at this same hotel again. Thank you! They were closed for the season, and I was rebooked at the Hamilton Inn Select. The Hamilton Inn Select was OUTSTANDING! They gave me the same price as the Super 8 would have been, but this hotel was much nicer. The rooms were more plush, and the breakfast had more choices and better quality.
