This place is good, but not outstanding. The service is excellent, the rooms are decent, if a bit dated. I would definitely appreciate a better positioning of power outlets. (phones, children's handheld games, etc all need power outlets. This was my first trip to Mackinaw and I was a little wary not knowing which hotel to book. The Best Western Dockside was one of the cleanest, neatest hotels I have ever been to. That alone, was a huge plus for me. I can't tell you how much it ruins a trip to stay somewhere with mold/mildew in the bath, stale odors, and leaky ceilings and half-cleaned rooms. The view was awesome and was exactly as pictured on the website. The only thing that disappointed us was the fitness center. For a hotel this size, I was expecting the quantity and the quality of the equipment to be better, but it really didn't interfere with my enjoyment of the trip. I would stay there the next time I come to Mackinaw and recommend it to friends. Keep up the good work.These comments are from a verified stay
