8 out of 10I would definately stay again. I will say that when we pulled up to our cabin my four year-old called it a shack, it is a little brown building with a step and a picnic table next to it. Not as impressive as the two-story option at the front of the complex - however when you open the door you'll be amazed. It had a nice sitting area with a couch, a table with two chairs a tv and fridge. I will say it was the teeny tiny fridge for pop cans, a larger fridge would have been nicer for some staples since we stayed a week. There are 2 bedrooms with beds, one room had a tv. A very nice sized bathroom, our room had a large standing shower. I don't personally care how they look on the outside and I was very pleased with the inside. It was quiet, we were right next to the playground and could hear nothing. The rooms do not have dressers, the dresser is the tv stand in the common area (totally fine with me) - at least in 320 where we stayed. We had a very comfortable walk to town, the breakfast gets a bit chaotic for the amount of space used to get food but it was very good, the water park was a nice distraction for the kids for a few hours. 8 out of 10The cabin was very nice, clean and pretty comfortable. We rented the larger ones, and it could have used another chair or two in the main room. It was very cute though, and we had a nice time. We would come back or recommend it. The only thing that was not great, was the shared breakfast. The hours and trying to get there before 830 on the weekends was a bit much to expect. We tried one morning and the line was very long and it was very hot and humid in the building. (I realize it is above the water park.) We ended up going to other resturants to eat.These comments are from a verified stay

The only confusion arose from the fact that when I booked the room, I thought I was getting the two story cabin as opposed to the older, single story cabin. The explanation was satisfactory but I am sure there are others that might not feel the same way. 8 out of 10The hotel was well kept ,clean and I would recomend it to others-the only flaw was that I also purchased tour packages when I booked the cabin.I was ill when we checked in and my son was not given the tour packages or told that they were at the loby-we were confused the next day when we went to the ferry landing and had to return to the hotel to get our tour packages.Perhaps a notation in the reservation would have been helpful to the person checking us in,but the staff was very nice and helpful.These comments are from a verified stay

8 out of 10They were very helpful in getting us the 3 cribs needed (which we confirmed 3 times by phone before the reservation date), even though they do not keep them on the premises. It was just a small fee, so not too big of a problem. The breakfast bar was horrible (I've seen much better at most hotels and I travel for business) and the times were deplorable for a family of younger children (2 year old and twin infants). We could only eat from 6:30-8:30A. We decided, after the first day, to go outside the hotel and pay for breakfast.These comments are from a verified stay

10 out of 10The cabins were not available on the nights we were in the city, so we stayed at the Comfort Suites (with the water park) and had a wonderful room. This was the 5th year we have come up for a long weekend in January - the rates are great, the water park is a blast, and our kids wouldn't think of going anywhere else! When I booked our cabin, I said this was our 35th wedding Anniversary and it was a tough year for us. My wife was diagnosed with cancer and I wanted to make this trip extra special. The staff at Cabins of Mackinac went up and above for us. They upgraded our cabin, brought my wife an extra blanket and helped us find a great restaurant that delivered to our cabin on that very windy and chilly evening. My wife loved our cabin and had tears of joy. I knew I made the right decision to stay in the cabins. 10 out of 10My husband and I had a great time. Very unique and more fun then the confines of a room. We stayed in a 2-Story cabin just as pictured but take note the smaller cabins are older and in the back of the newer ones in the photo. We travel with our bikes and were able to keep them locked on the porch, a great plus for us. Walking distance to most everything and a ferry across the street. Even had a bit of a view sitting on the porch. The breakfast was very good-nice selection. This would be a perfect place to stay with kids, especially teenagers that are ready for a little independence. Plus 3 TVs-and enough room to just hangout, play games etc. My only concern would be the jacuzzi/shower. An older or less agile person may have difficulty getting in and out as this is a combined unit. Other then that--perfect.These comments are from a verified stay

8 out of 10We have stayed at the comfort suites next door many times. We usually get a two bedroom suite on the lower floor, those rooms are great for a family with kids. We notice the new cabins next door before so we decide to try one of the two story cabins this time. The Econo lodge and the Comfort Suites are tied in together so you still have axces to the indoor pool and water park as well as the free breakfast above the water park every morning your there. The 2 story cabin has 1 bedroom with a king bed downstairs as well as a living area with fridge and micro wave, queen bed up stairs (Loft) and a very large bathroom downstairs with a very large jacuzzi tub and shower. Has a TV upstairs and down stairs as well as one in the down stairs bedroom. This style cabin is perfect for four people. If you do book here and get one of the cabins make sure you book one of the new 2 STORY CABINS in the front. Any other cabin will be one of the older ones in the back. By the reviews ive read it looks like alot of people are expecting a new 2 story when they book because thats all the web site shows. They need to be a little more specific on their web site. It would be nice if the cabin had a coffee table. It would also be nice if the couch was a hide a bed. The last the last time we stayed the jacuzzi in the pool area only had 1 jet that was any good...this has since been fixed..THANKS!!! The area rug in the living room of cabin # 306 could use a good cleaning..Besides that everything was great! We will stay there again!These comments are from a verified stay

10 out of 10The cabins are beautiful! Exactly as shown in the pictures on the website. Everything was clean and well kept, all 3 TVs had DVD players in them, the hot tub bathtub was huge!! We stayed a week just the two of us, but we plan to go back with friends, as the cabin has 3 large beds. Great location, we were able to walk right across the street and onto a ferry, nice little walk to the shops and restaurants. The breakfast bar was very tasty (but it closed at 10am, and we missed it a few times by sleeping in a little too long).
