The breakfast had a good variety of choices and plenty available even late in the morning. The hotel was close enough to the ferry dock to walk to. 10 out of 10This was our third stay at this privately owned hotel. The suites are spacious, with two rooms plus a kitchenette with a coffee maker, small refrigerator, sink, and microwave. The rooms are immaculate and face the bay with a view of the bridge and shore. There is a sandy beach area with picnic tables, chairs, and fire pits. The free breakfast is ample. My only (small) suggestion would be to separate the waffles into their own station and maybe add one or two more waffle makers, since this is a very popular option. Hot sausage & eggs, gravy & biscuits, plus toasted items and a variety of cereals and juice plus canned fruit round out the menu. I highly recommend this hotel!These comments are from a verified stay

10 out of 10We really enjoyed our stay here, as the setting was beautiful. We loved having the beach front room, sitting on our little patio in the evenings and looking at the lake. Location was great - close to downtown, but yet just a little "off the beaten path" so that we had some peace and quiet. 10 out of 10We had a nice room with a beautiful view of Mackinaw Island and the Mackinaw Bridge. The hotel has a wonderful beach. In the evening there was a campfire on the beach. All the rooms have a balcony or enclosed patio. We liked the way the room was laid out. The bathroom was between the two queen beds and the bathroom jutted out to give some privacy to each sleeping area. 10 out of 10We chose this hotel after being recommended by a friend. We arrived right before the peak of the season so it was not very busy. There weren't very many people there. I overheard the manager telling the cashier to make sure that my room would be away from "the bus full of people we are expecting here tomorrow." I thought that was pretty considerate. We only ate breakfast there on our last morning, and it was average. While it was not spectacular, they did have the basics (eggs, biscuits, sausages, yogurt, cereal, bagels, waffles, etc...) and one of the workers remained in the dining room to make sure that we had everything that we needed. We enjoyed the bonfire by ourselves (My husband and I). The rooms are very clean. The beds feel a little stiff. My husband was extremely comfortable and loved the mattress but I prefer mine a little softer. Since it was only us, I took the pillows from the other bed (all rooms are suites with a bed in the living room section). I also brought extra pillows from home. With over five pillows to myself, I definitely made the stiff bed feel pretty comfortable. As long as I have many pillows, I am fine. It was a short walk to the Arnold Ferry. Breakfast is very good: fruit, juices, cereals, sausage, biscuits/gravy, and really light, fluffy, make-it-yourself hot waffles. Two room suites with small kitchenette are perfect for our travels! We liked having a couch to relax on, and there was good lighting in both rooms. And, of course, having a balcony with a beach and bay view was a lot of fun.
