The hotel was a few doors down from the ferry we rode to the island and within walking distance of the downtown shops and restaurants in Mackinaw City. It was a very convenient location. We splurged to have a lake-front room and enjoyed watching the ferries come and go. We also appreciated the clean room and full hot breakfast on site. Since our tickets for the ferry ride and the island horse-drawn carriage were purchased when the hotel reservation was made, that was one less thing we had to think about once we arrived (and it saved us some money on the purchase price, too). Our stay was brief and we were sorry that we had to leave to head onto our next destination so quickly. We hope to visit again sometime. :)These comments are from a verified stay

We loved our balcony room! Suggest that the breakfast be offered on the lake side part of the hotel so that all can enjoy the best view in the morning!
