The Beach House is a family owned and operated resort run with pride and integrity. We are the last stand of cottages on the water in Mackinaw City. We are 1 mile east of downtown. There are sidewalks and a bike trail to get to town.
Seven cottages sit directly on the beachfront the others back up in a U shape from the beach. Everyone staying at the Beach House has access to our private beach. The Beach House is pet friendly (small pet fee) with 2 animals maximum. All hotel rooms in Michigan are non smoking. Smoking is permitted outdoors.

It was good for us, but a larger person would not find it easy to get around.We were suppose to get a discount for breakfast as stated on the card key to the cabin. Unfortunately with the sap from the tree there was no place to sit on our deck without sitting in sap (cabin 30). The sheets were not that soft plus there was sand that had not been cleaned off the couch which then transferred to our night clothes which then transferred to the bedneedless to say our first night sleeping was not good. We did bring our own coffee and filters since reading a review that the coffee was not that desirable. Water pressure in the shower was awesome!!We would stay here again. 8 out of 10We loved our stay in the private cabin! It was cozy, quiet, and came with a small kitchenette, which was perfect for simple meals. The private beach access was a huge bonus, and the indoor pool was a nice option as well.The cabin came fully stockedshower essentials, bedding, towelsso we didnt need to bring much at all. It felt like a hotel, but with all the comforts of a home away from home.The only downside for us was the pet policy. We couldnt bring our dog into the lake because wet dogs werent allowed back into the cabin, and we also werent allowed to leave our dog alone inside, which made it hard to explore places that didnt allow pets. If the flooring were laminate or hardwood, it would make cleanup easier and maybe allow for more flexibility with pets.Aside from that, it was a great experience, and wed definitely come back!These comments are from a verified stay
